Metal bending is something we are all aware of but intentionally or unintentionally do not recognize. It might even amuse you but even children know all about bending metal. As children, we have done it all right from bending cutlery to paper clips.
However, the metal we bent than was either steel beams or tubes. They are clearly not as strong as metal bending industry. Now we know that metal bending is more than just bending paper clips. The procedure as you may already know is a requirement to build a strong basic structure as the stadium roof or a roller coaster ride. To get detailed information go through our quick links.
Flexible metal is all around us in the form of beams, pipes or angle. Right from the simplest of parks to skyscrapers strongest, bend very basic form of all the current construction. You may never have thought about it but there is more than one way of bending metal. Read on to find more:
· Rolling to bend metal: The best way known to mankind for bending metal may be rolling. This, in turn, is also quite cheap compared with other processes. This phenomenon involves using the right size die that easily adapts to steel beams, channels, and pipe, angle or steel tubes. When metal bending machine rolls pass the required material using justified force.
· Mandrel Bending: This process is also a decent preference for metal benders. It involves a metal shaft is also known as a mandrel inserted in the pipeline. The mandrel is then moved or bent to provide the necessary pipe shape. This process works best with a thick-walled tube at temperatures around 180 degrees.
· Press Metal Bending: The third method of bending involves using pressure to bend the metal to the size required. A press applies force every 6 or 7 inches to work as needed. These processes are commonly used with larger pipes and heavier, beam, bar and tube.
· Table forming: This process requires tubes, pipes or beams must be laid straight. It is then pulled around the applicable die to form a bend radius that is required. The process is basically used in the case of creating a small bend in the material by weight.
